Whale Watching with San Diego Natural History Museum

Whale & Dolphin watching on Hornblower is a once in a lifetime experience in San Diego. Enjoy narration from Captains and Naturalists trained by the San Diego Natural History Museum. You'll get a free tour of north San Diego and see the sea lions that live below the lighthouse at Point Loma. Then you'll reach the open sea and find pods of gray whales, including mothers and calves! You may see hundreds of Common, Pacific White-sided or Risso's Dolphins, plus other sea life and marine birds indigenous to Southern California.

Flower Fields Ranunculus Tours

Every year from early March to early May, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch blossom into a spectacular sea of brightly colored ranunculus flowers. Visitors can view and tour the fields in Carlsbad. Open to the public seven days a week, 9am to 6pm. Interstate 5 to Palomar Airport Road Exit. Head east one block and turn left on Paseo Del Norte. Make a right into the first driveway. Guided tours must be arranged in advance.

Junior Master Model Builder Competition

Our building contest will be held the second full weekend of each month at LEGOLAND® California. Simply stop by the Imagination Zone and complete a model using the bricks and baseplate provided and enter a masterpiece in one of three age categories: 9 and under, 10 – 15 and 16+ (adults are welcome to participate).
