Events of the day kick off at 8:30am with our traditional Festival in the Park, located in beautiful Webb Park, with a pancake breakfast and craft vendors, military displays, children’s activities, and live entertainment for adults and kids alike followed by a Motor Show from 10am-2:30pm. At 3:30pm, our annual parade begins, complete with VIP riders, military entries, veterans, Legion of Valor members, floats, bands, and various other entries. The day’s festivities continue at dusk with live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display at Bernardo Heights Middle School. Please join us this year for food, fun, fireworks, and a salute to America!

Old-fashioned Fourth of July

Old Poway Park. 10am-4pm. Additionally, the City and several sponsors host the fireworks show at Poway High School. The gates open at 5pm. The fireworks begin at 9pm. There are crafts, fun jumps, music and activities for the kids. Additionally, viewing and parking for the fireworks show is available at Lake Poway, where the music is simulcasted and the view is excellent.

Flow Rider Wave Challenge

The Wave Waterpark will host the 'Flow Rider Wave Challenge' in which body board enthusiasts show off their skills for judges and the public on the Wave's popular thrill ride - the Flow Rider, a wave simulation attraction. Quail Botanical Gardens from 10-4pm. Explore the wonderful world of insects during Quail Botanical Gardens' annual Insect Festival. Children 12 and under are admitted free and can practice bug collecting, hands-on insect arts and crafts and even taste cooked mealworm larva (in various flavors such as mesquite, teriyaki and barbeque, of course!) Entomologists and other bug experts will be available for questions and more than 10 informational booths will teach and entertain children and adults alike. Rods & Woodies Classic Car Show

The streets of Downtown Encinitas will be rockin' and rollin' when "Rods & Woodies Classic Car Show" comes to Downtown Encinitas June through September. From 5:30pm to 7:30pm, hot rods, classic cars and Woodies will line S. Coast Highway 101 the third Thursday each summer month. Live music will play in front of Encinitas Smog at 682 S. Coast Hwy 101.
